Choose Life
Choose Life – Week 2
What choices are we making each day?
In this message, Pastor Paul takes us to Deuteronomy 30, where Moses presents the people of Israel with a clear choice as they prepare to enter the Promised Land: life or death, blessings or curses. His challenge is simple: “Now choose life.”
The same choice is presented to us every morning. We may not be standing on the plains of Moab, but each new day brings decisions about how we will live, what we will prioritise, and where we will place our trust.
Pastor Paul explores three choices we can make each day to choose life: knowing God’s Word, understanding and living in His grace, and building God’s Kingdom rather than our own.
We are challenged to be resolute in God’s Word, allowing Scripture to shape our decisions rather than simply keeping the Bible on a shelf or in an app. We are also reminded to live in the grace of today rather than the guilt of yesterday, recognising that God’s grace gives us another opportunity to turn back to Him.
Finally, we are challenged to build God’s Kingdom, not our own. Career, hobbies, relationships, finances and other priorities can easily take the place that belongs to God. Choosing life means recognising God’s sovereignty and remembering that no one sits on the throne of our lives except God.
This message encourages us to begin each day with a deliberate choice: to know God’s Word, embrace His grace, and consciously build His Kingdom.
